Used to anchor out a lily pad!
These boat anchors are perfect for moving a lily pad away from the dock and boat! Theyâre easy to use and hold everything in place, keeping the lily pad exactly where you want it. A simple and effective solution for keeping things organized and safe for the kids on the water. Definitely a handy tool for boaters!

Perfect for My Particular Application
Yes, I know that it's only an anchor. But for my 14-foot jon boat on the freshwater creeks and rivers of Virginia Beach and North Carolina it is the PERFECT size! This anchor easily holds my boat in place in winds gusting up to 20 mph. (If it's windier than that, I don't go fishing.) At the same time, it is NOT cumbersome, as was the 15-pound anchor it replaced. Bottom line? Select your anchor based on the size of your boat and the conditions under which you will use it!

It's an anchor.
One end of rope gets tied through the anchor hole. The other end attaches to the small boat. Hey! it keeps the boat from drifting away!

Works, but poor paint quality.
It works. However, I recomend cold galvanizing before use. Mine started rusting after 1 use in river water. Thereafter looks new after months of frequent use.

Anchors Away!
I feel silly admitting this, but the main reason I bought it was for eight girls to tie up our pool floats and paddleboards out in a lake on girls' weekend. While we may not have managed to get out far in the lake, I attached one end of the rope to the dock, one end to the anchor, and I paddled out as far as the rope would go and dropped anchor. We ended up using it as tow line for those on floats to get away from the mucky shoreline, and it really did work perfectly. I would have never thought a little ten pound anchor would stay in place and not drag while we pulled ourselves along it, but sure enough, it worked perfectly and exactly as we intended. It was also much easier than I expected to pull up while sitting on my SUP. I'll continue using this while out on the lakes on my SUP when I want to just float and take a beer break :)
