Very Good Book
Anyone who wants to learn the concepts of success and freedom better I would HIGHLY recommend this book. The writing is a bit dated since this was written in the 1930's (banned until 2011 i think) but if you can understand Napolean Hill's words it's a great read IMO. The back and forth between him and "the devil" in the pages makes it feel like there's 2 different authors and it's only Hill writing. This is the unique and amazing part of this book. Highly recommended still very relavant to our modern times.

I can see why the book wasn't posted while Hill was alive
Whether real or not in its contents it is a facinating look at evil forces and what they look like. We can get tthe idea that evil is big and out there, easily spotted. This book just like The Screwtape Letters by C.S.Lewis show how simple evil can look and how unnasuming or even 'nice' it can look. If nothing else its a good thought exercise. In reference to my title - Hill didn't publish the book at his wifes request. She thought it would bring too much hate towards them as the book points to some major institutions who are meant to be giuding us towards what is good but who are actually subtly subverting the people. Fascinating book

thought provoking and oddly timely
Outwitting the Devil was not exactly what I thought it was going to be. This book definitely contains within it the secrets of freedom and success, especially in the face of fear, which can keep a lot of people from having success. Think this book is worth a read, especially compared to thinking grow rich which i got through the first five pages and never picked up again.Overall, the story portion we learned about hill is good but the part you really want to get to is the actual interview process, which can have some very triggering moments in it, but is worth reading. what it takes to be successful, especially the face of fear in the unknown is talked about in this book . A little bit of ranting that occurs in this book which is oddly timely considering this book was written a very long time ago, but still is relevant today almost some years laterso there’s that.Overall, I would say read it. It could change your life.

Here is my Christian businesswoman perspective
I'm not sure why this book took decades to get published. I assume it's due to religious reasons that we shouldn't be speaking to the devil....that we should be talking to God instead. Partly true. This book will enable us hear God more clearly by being able to IDENTIFY thoughts that are not from us in the first place... thoughts that are placed there from the devil. As a Christian and a businesswoman, I do agree with most of the sentiments of Hill. Just keep in mind that these Q&As are all for earthly/financial/business- related topics. There are things the "devil" says in there that are... incomplete. Devil says that his biggest oppositions during that time was Socrates, Confucius, Abraham Lincoln, etc. No... his biggest opposition is God and all His children. However... like I said.. read this book from an earthly/financial/business perspective. The truth is, God's will is for us to prosper, but godly prosperity might not look like how society makes us believe to be signs of success. An example would be the Kardashians. Financially successful... life is a mess. They are poor in a lot of different ways. God wants us to be rich, but not so rich that we think we don't need Him.Financial struggles and any financial illiteracy is from the devil. Any negative thoughts is from the devil. He (devil) also says that those who are non-drifters (thinks for themselves/successful), he has no control over. What he really means is devil has lost the war on keeping that person in poverty... devil will always try to whisper lies to us whether we're poor or rich, young or old. He's relentless. So DO read this book... but now that you've identified lies from the devil... read the bible. Because in there, you'll find the true keys to success: patience, perseverance, endurance, courage, faith, hope, love, helping others, etc etc.

Great Book - Bad Annotations
This book is incredible and intriguing. Hill's writing is creative and insightful. That being said, ALL of the annotations made by Sharon Lechter are USELESS. She either repeats an impactful quote immediately after you've just read it, or turns it over to the reader in a question that equates to "What do YOU think?" You can and should skip all of the annotations as you read this, you will save yourself a lot of time and miss out on nothing. Hill's words get 5 stars from me but the unnecessary and useless annotations detract from the overall presentation.

Very important book.
This is one of the best books I've ever read. (If you're wondering the author is not actually having a conversation with the devil.) The "devil" is our own negative interpretations of life.Napoleon Hill's work is pure genius. Life changing if you interpret correctly.
