I began researching for a hub/docking station early 2024. I liked the look and price of this one from TOBENONE. Unsure which was the correct model for my MacBook, I emailed the company. Within one hour of my question, I got a response which included some additional questions to ensure I was recommended the correct product. Within an hour of my response back, a list of four options was given to me, with the links to purchase. I ended up selecting one that worked best for my setup and loved the size, look and functionality of the dock. Fast forward several months... I noticed that the head phone jack, for which I was using for external speakers began not working correctly. Again, I emailed customer service and after a series of question and answered, was shipped a new replacement dock. I can't say enough good things about the interaction and response both before purchasing and after that I have received. Would definitely recommend this company.

The item just arrived from Amazon. I still have to hook it up to my new MacBook Pro to really test out the compatibility which will take some time because I have to manually set up my new MacBook first (and not from Time Machine because I don't want to bring in all those old 32 bit apps/softwares), but the reason I bought this docking station is because the Customer Service agent at Tobenone, Ms. Anita, was super courteous and helpful. I had so many questions and she answered them all! I am pretty confident that this is the perfect docking station for my new M4 MacBook Pro. Six Stars to Anita!!

Got this dock back in December for it's dual monitor capabilities. It worked perfectly out of the box. My only real gripe with it was the placement of some of the ports. Mainly the SD card slot. It's on the back side of the device, which is pretty inconvenient for me. But not a deal breaker.Also, after 5 months or so, the included power brick completely stopped working, but customer service VERY quickly sent me a new one, no questions asked. Thankful for the great service.

Works great with my Mac Book Pro! Just make sure you have the USB C ports that are the right distance apart. Some of the newer Macs, especially the newest Mac Mini do not work with this docking station.

I am really enjoying this dock. Almost everything about it -- the aesthetics, the functionality, and the features -- is great!AESTHETICS: I've attached two photos of the dock. First, it is made for the Macbook, and I appreciate Tobenone's attention to detail. The color of the dock matches my Space Gray Macbook Pro! There is a dual USB-C cable that connects the Macbook to the dock, and that's it for connections - just one cable, and the color of the cable matches the Macbook Pro, too. The front is a bit plain with a lot of empty black space above the USB ports. What I like most about it is it has eliminated a mess of cables and USB+HDMI adapters and decluttered my desk and gave it a minimalist look -- no more dongle city!! You wouldn't know by looking at the first photo that there is a power adapter, two monitors, a keyboard, bluetooth mouse, printer, a USB drive, and a micro SD card all connected to it! It is also compact. The second photo shows the dock next to a half-liter water bottle for size comparison.FUNCTIONALITY: The dock is fuss-free and truly plug-and-play. First, you connect the dock to your Macbook's power adapter using a USB-C cable. Next, you plug the included dual USB-C cable into the dock, then connect your monitors and peripherals. When you're ready, plug the other end of the dual USB-C cable into your Macbook. No drivers are needed, and setup is intuitive. Connecting both monitors was easy via the dual HDMI ports, and my Macbook Pro recognized them as soon as I booted it up. I've plugged and unplugged my Macbook Pro from the dock without ill effect. When I plug my Macbook into the dock, both monitors come to life almost instantly. The dock stays cool even when the I/O is maxed out.FEATURES: It has four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB-C port, 1 SD card slot, one micro SD card slot, headphone jack, and of course two HDMI ports. One of the first tasks I had was copying files between an SD card and a micro SD card. I was pleasantly surprised to find that both SD slot cards worked at the same time. Dongles that have both SD and micro SD card slots will only allow one slot to work at a time.There are only two things this dock could improve on. The first is I wish the SD card slots were in the front. There is a lot of space above the USB ports where the card slots could've been put. The second thing is the headphone jack does not work automatically when you plug in headphones. Rather, you must go into System Preferences, click on Sound, and select "USB PnP Audio Device." It would have been nice for the headphone jack to switch over automatically just like the MacBook. Overall, I'm very happy with this dock!

The dock looks good on the desk and keeps cables organized. I use it to connect two 27” monitors to my M2 Mac, along with a USB drive and Stream Deck. Nice to have everything—displays, devices, and power—connected through a single cable. The built-in USB-A and USB-C ports on the front are very convenient to connect devices ad hoc without needing extra dongles. Customer support was quick and helpful when I had an issue.

Unfortunately, the docking station didn’t function as expected with my Mac, which was quite disappointing. To address the issue, I decided to contact their customer support team for assistance. Much to my relief, they responded exceptionally quickly and demonstrated a high level of professionalism throughout our interactions. The communication process was seamless, and they ensured that all my concerns were addressed in a clear and efficient manner. It was a reassuring experience despite the initial inconvenience.
