Convenient, tastes good, and small enough to pack a lot or just a few. I always have a few in my purse or in my side zip for a walk. As a type 1 diabetic, a lot of glucose products taste terrible, but are a necessity for hypoglycemia. This brand is the best tasting glucose gel/glucose tabs I could find (fruit punch is the only flavor I like) and I re-order constantly. If you’re traveling abroad for 2+ weeks, bring more than 20 gels! lol I was walking over 10K steps a day traveling, and this was such an easy boost for my levels to stay in range if they dipped. Works well and quickly. We keep these on hand for our daughter who often faints after her gym sessions. We carry these with us in our purses and gym bags for emergencies. The texture is a little odd but you get past the texture issue quickly!

I bought these as an easily concealable snack during workouts or other outdoor work, and they are just that. They can easily be stuffed in a pocket and still contain enough carbs to effectively treat a low blood sugar. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it is important to note that they are very well sealed; to the point they are extremely challenging to open. Low blood sugar, shaky fingers, sweaty hands, and glossy plastic packaging will make you seriously question your sanity, while simultaneously putting on a great show for those lucky enough to witness the event. I first discovered this while on a run in 90+ degree heat. As I felt some minor symptoms of low blood sugar coming on, I whipped out the convenient little package from my belt, and for 3 minutes, twisted my fingers in ways I simply cannot duplicate, determined to rip off the tiny little plastic tap at the top. I finally decided my teeth would be the only way I was going to get into this surprisingly durable piece of plastic. I bit the tab, then realized my hand was still too sweaty to effectively grasp the pouch. As I attempted to dry my hands, I paused to recognize that I, a fully grown man, was running down the street flapping his hands like a bird, with a little plastic pouch, grasped firmly in my teeth flinging back and forth like a dog with its chew toy. Thankfully, I did eventually break in to the impenetrable vault of fruit goo. Needless to say, it’s very durable, and will not burst in your pocket. A fair warning, though, the experience may be something you’re able to list on your resume.

It was fast acting and I was able to use my fsa card. My son recently started experiencing hypoglycemia. These have been so helpful when he goes out, is at school or walking around. It helps bring levels up quickly and taste is great.
