Nice - good quality - accurate

Nice pellet gun. Seams pretty accurate and easier to cock than I thought it was going to be. The power seams OK for what it is but no need for co2.

Don't buy.

Trigger is horrible. With rear sights set as low as possible, still shoots 2inches high at 5 yards. You get what you pay for.

Time will tell.

I was extremely excited to see this pellet pistol offered. I enjoy the Ruger Mark IV in .22lr and am a avid pellet and BB shooter in the winter time. I really like the “real” version of this pistol so buying the pellet version was a easy decision. One thing I dislike about most pneumatic or spring pellet pistols is the length of the barrels due to the cocking lever which normally makes the pistol very front heavy. This makes the pistol hard to keep still and get accurate shot. One thing that really excites me about this Ruger Mark IV was the gun seemed well balanced and not overly barrel heavy. I just received it today and I have to say I was impressed with the balance of the gun and the overall fit and finish. Most of the pistol looks great and feels great. The first thing I noticed that threw me off was the stated FPS. Every source and seller online I have found states the FPS is up to 360fps, using specific pellets of course. The gun I received states 320fps on the packaging. Why is this different than every single online retailer or spec sheet I have seen for this gun? It’s not really a issue for me as this will be used as a backyard plinker, but it is strange and I am curious why my packaging states 320fps. I will admit I have yet to shoot any pellets as I just received the gun today, but I did give it a good look over and tested everything. Like I mentioned before the fit and finish seems excellent. I ran a few cleaning pellets through it to get the residual grime out of the barrel before I start breaking it in and while firing the cleaning pellets I noticed what could take this gun from a amazing piece to a gun that sits in a drawer. The trigger. I appreciate the metal trigger and the quality of it, but the trigger pull is so incredibly heavy that I thought I had accidentally left the safety on. I had not. I do not have a trigger pull gauge, but it has to, at the very least be over 10lbs and that’s being generous. It’s atrocious to say the least. I have never in my life felt a heavier trigger on any gun, real or fake. Again, I have not shot any pellets out of it or done a break in period with it so time will tell, but I can’t see the trigger lightening up any amount that would make it any more enjoyable or give more accuracy. With all that said I will be doing a update on this pistol after the break in period and initial firing. I will give this pistol a fair shake at proving itself to be a longtime user or a dust collector. I’m hoping it is a user because I really enjoy the look and feel of the gun.UPDATE: I shot around 50 pellets through the gun so far. Things I have noticed are (as said before) the trigger is terrible. The trigger pull is so heavy it truly affects accuracy and makes the gun much less enjoyable to shoot. The heavy trigger pull is especially a issue if you are using this pistol to teach children how to shoot. They will not learn proper shooting technique as they will be fighting the trigger every shot and will actually teach them bad habits when it comes to proper trigger pull/control. A complete and utter failure on Umarex’s part with this pistol. I tried different pellets in this pistol and noticed picking the correct pellet that “agrees” with your pistol is very important. I noticed if the skirt of the pellet is tight then the pellet loses velocity at a extreme rate. I was shooting at around 8yrds - 10yrds and if I put in a pellet that fit tight the pellet dropped 1ft - 1 1/2ft. At such a short distance this was alarming. If you buy this pistol you will have to test and find pellets that work best for your pistol or you will be extremely disappointed. Moving onto the cocking lever. You have to find a grip on the barrel that works best for you as the front sight is blocking where the palm of your hand would naturally sit to cock the gun. Cocking the gun can be a bit strange until you find a grip that works for you. I am a stronger then average adult man so the actual strength to cock the gun is not a issue, but I can definitely see how someone who is average or below average in arm strength, combined with the front sight being in the way to get a good grip could cause a issue or at the very least make cocking the gun extremely unenjoyable. The fluting on the barrel definitely helps your fingers sit in the groove to aid in cocking the gun which I very much appreciate. The last thing I consider a negative is the safety comes on every time you cock the gun. It’s not a huge issue and I am all for safety when shooting and teaching kids safety procedures. For me personally I just see it as a hassle and something that may break after extended use. I definitely understand the importance of the safety though and do not mind it to much. With all the negative out of the way I will say I still enjoy shooting this pistol. It has great balance and is not front heavy at all which is a huge, huge plus in my book. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation which is great. The grip angle is my favorite of any gun “real” or pellet. One thing I was very happy to find out is it is fairly quiet. My neighbors and I share a fence on all sides of my house so a quiet BB or pellet gun is very important when I’m shooting in the backyard. The quietest BB gun I have is a Daisy model 25 or a Red Ryder. This pellet pistol is only slightly louder then a Red Ryder which is great. It is much quieter then a Crosman Pump Master or Daisy 880. Even shooting a Crosman Pump Master or Daisy 880 on 2 or 3 pumps is much louder then this pistol. I was extremely happy about the quietness of this pistol. The pistol seems like it has the ability to be very accurate with the rifles barrel, but again the trigger being so heavy ruins this. The ability is there though. All in all I somewhat enjoy the pistol, but am disappointed as this could of been a near perfect pellet pistol (for backyard plinking) in my opinion if the trigger was even close to being acceptable. The trigger really ruins all this pistol has going for it. I’m hoping this is just how my gun is, but will be waiting to hear what other owners say about it. Sorry for the long winded review. Just wanted to give any potential buyers a idea of what they are getting.Keep shooting and be safe while doing it everyone!

exactly as described

High quality all metal pellet version of the Ruger MKIV 22 target pistol, licensed by Ruger and made by Umerex.Looks and feels like the real thing.Like most products made by Umerex, quality and performance is Verry good. It's a break barrel single shot. Wish they made it using one of Umerex's rotary mags.

Good Value for plinking

Good value for the money. Bought it because I love shooting my Ruger Mark II and this is similar in feel. I purchased it for indoor plinking at a steel trap. It is much lighter in weight than the Ruger but it easy to cock the piston which allows for quick reloads. It's fairly accurate with the right pellet although I had to experiment to find one that would give me a tight group without too many fliers (flat head match style). The trigger pull is as bad as other people have mentioned but I found a good YouTube video on how to disassemble and polish the trigger mechanism. It took about thirty minutes from start to finish and it reduced the trigger pull from 10 lbs to just under 4 lbs.
