Another gift for hubby, this is by far his favorite knife and his EDC go to. He really does carry it every day. With Cerakoted, CPM S35VN Steel, you have not only a great knife design, but truly great design along with a true "Super Steel" blade material. This makes it a true case of "good news, bad news" when it comes to the steel. The bad news first? Ok, the bad news is that it is very very difficult to get it sharpened to that hair popping razor edge we all love. The good news is that once it's there, the edge will last a ridiculously long long time, making the sharpening process well worth the effort. Once you have the edge you desire, this knife will perform or shall I say out-perform just about any other knives that are in the same price range. So don't give up when sharpening this knife. It's going to be a long and difficult process, but believe me it's well worth the time invested. As far as size and shape of the blade, it's as close to perfect as it gets. This can also be said of the knife's handle. It is perfect for hubby's medium to large size hands, and with jimping starting on the top from about halfway down the blade, all down the top of the handle and completely around the bottom of the handle to and around the small integral guard. The handle is full tang, with scales making it a very strong design. He says that this is the perfect example of a knife that can be used for anything and he stresses anything. He wants to try out the Seal XR next. But since I've gotten him this knife and a Cold Steel Recon Scout this year already, I told him he better win the lottery if he wants another $150-$250 knife this year. It's still really good to see him this happy when he's using or talking about this particular knife, knowing that it was a gift from me that he really loves this much. It's worth the cost of you want to see your man this pleased with a surprise gift that you picked out for him yourself. You just can't go wrong with this one.

I love this knife! Fit and finish is excellent, it’s sharp, nice grip, good looking, worth the money if you have the coin which is it’s only down side. It is a bit expensive but I’ll pay if the quality is as nice as this and seems like a very sturdy knife with an excellent sheath. It’s an A+ from me

Best knife i've ever used in my life. Just screams confidence and quality. Every other knife i touch feels like trash compared to this knife.

Great blade as always from SOG. Well designed and balanced with quality. But the sheath is poorly designed and hard to assemble. It also limits the user's carry angle.

Great hand feel. Great weight. Super durable. Haven't had to sharpen yet so that could be "fun". Haven't had long enough to know if scales are durable.Strongly recommend getting if size/shape/weight is what you are looking for.

I was very happy with this knife. It is extremely sharp and perfectly balanced. The handle is comfortable and provides excellent grip. I hope SOG will make a nylon sheath for this model in the future.
