I found some slides in my wife’s storage box and I was curious about them. Holding them up to the light doesn’t work for me. I was intrigued by the magnification feature and it worked beautifully. Simple and easy to use. The slides are vivid and the colors are remarkable.

The magnification of the slides is better than expected. Putting a slide in the viewer and press a button the slide ejects in the viewer tray.

This is a great little device for personal viewing of slides or film. The LED illumination is bright, even, and just the right color temperature. The build is solid and the eject mechanism works well. I would have given it five stars except for except for two issues. One, the internal walls of the viewing tube are reflective and produce unwanted glare. Two, the lenses out of the box need cleaning. Fortunately, the unit is easy to disassemble. I took it apart and painted the interior surfaces with a flat black paint. I also gave the two lenses a good cleaning. Now I have a five-star device.

Shipped promptly and arrived in good condition at a good price. The light is a little brighter when used with the external plug rather than the battery. I was able to view and sort a lot of old slides to prepare for digitizing.

It does the job well. So far I have used it for a couple of hours and it is still fine. I am using it to screen slides to decide which ones to save and tranfer into a digital form, and for that purpose, this gadget works well. For proper viewing of slides, you might want a larger viewer with bigger magnification and a larger lense.

I'm using it to sort slides and it works fine for this purpose. The image is bright and clear but there is some distortion around the edges of the screen. I will eventually digitize the slides but viewing them through this is fine in the meantime. It works on AA batteries which actually makes it easier to use since there's no heavy cord or transformer brick to mess with.

I’m currently scanning thousands of slides and using this to review and grade them prior to scanning.Screen is bright. Easy to use.The ability to view negatives is also a plus.
