THE SPICKY APPEARANCE ON SCOOP IS STATIC ELECTRICITY, NOT HEAVY METALS!
This matcha is delicious and a great price! I’ve only tried a few different brands to date, but this one is my favorite so far, and my family can actually afford to drink it daily (unlike most other matcha brands). I even tried it against a much more expensive brand, and that one had a more bitter taste and wouldn’t blend fully (aka clumping). To those people saying there are heavy metals in this matcha because of the spiky appearance of the matcha it sometimes has when you scoop it out…that is NOT heavy metals. That is from static electricity buildup, which gives the Matcha an appearance of “spikes” forming on the plastic scooper. The static electricity is generated during the grinding process and from vibrations during storage. This is especially true for high-quality, finely ground matcha. To mitigate this, sifting the matcha before use is recommended. Here's why and how:Fine powder:Matcha is ground into an extremely fine powder, making it prone to static buildup.Friction:The grinding process itself generates static electricity as the tea leaves are ground between stones.Vibrations:Even during storage and transportation, vibrations can cause static electricity to build up within the container.

Very good matcha
I have tried before Matcha teas that I bought directly from Japan and this one is up there with the best.Since is not written on the package or description that this is "ceremonial grade", I was expecting a bit of bitterness or fishy flavor, but to my surprise there is none.I tried it even straight with just hot water and it tastes smooth, something that the majority of the Matcha teas do not, they always have a bit of bitter/weed flavor that makes them unpleasant to drink unless they are mixed with something.I had tried before their "culinary" grade Matcha and it was good but had all those flavor characteristic of most matcha, this version which is called "premium first harvest" is definitely better for just a small increase in price and much less pricey than other Matcha that are defined Ceremonial grade. Also, it mixes super well with water and lattes of various kind.

An easy and delicious way to add Green Tea into your diet
This is the best matcha powder that I've found. Not only does it taste fresh and clean, but it also mixes very easily. Just use a little warm water to get started. Once thoroughly mixed (it won't take long) you can either add hot water for a cup of hot tea or add in cold water for a wonderfully refreshing green tea drink perfect for hot summer days. I like to mix in a little MCT oil powder (from this same company) for an added creamy sweetness that will curb the sometimes light bitterness of green tea.Highly recommend this if you're looking for an easy way to boost energy and add all those wonderful benefits of green tea to your diet.

Good value but a bit too sweet for me
Good, but a little sweet for my tastes compared to ceremonial-grade alternatives. However, this product was much cheaper/oz than the others. It may be to your taste.

So great!!! Highly recommend for Matcha Snobs!!!
I’m absolutely a Matcha snob and this is one of the only powdered Matchas that I can get behind. It’s not sweetened and it has a truly rich flavor that is unique to the actual tea.It was very fresh and the caffeine content is just the right amount. It’s easy to use with the included scoop. Overall love it.

yummy
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Tastes like matcha. They come in the bag in the picture with a little spoon. Further, the powder is further sealed in another bag. This helps preserve its freshness.

This product is not matcha powder
This product is not matcha powder. As someone who grew up in Japan and knows the difference, I am incredibly disappointed. What I received is much closer to funmatsu ryokucha (powdered green tea).It has strong tannins and a very coarse texture, completely unlike genuine matcha. If you're expecting something similar to "Jade Leaf Matcha," you'll be let down; that brand has true matcha flavor and is far superior.I'm particularly surprised that the Q&A section claims this product is from Japan. Given its lack of authentic matcha smell, taste, and texture, I question this claim. I'd like to know the exact company or facility in Japan they trade with so I can verify why they're marketing this as matcha. My past experience with Amazon matcha purchases has also been frustrating, with products advertised as JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standards) often turning out to be from China. This makes me doubt the honesty of this company. I am very disappointed with this purchase.
