Bought a 2011 Ford Escape with only one key. Dealer price is like $300 for a second key. Bought these keys and the Ford OBD cable to USB here off Amazon for like $20. Downloaded FORSCAN software for free and got a 2 month free trial. Had keys cut at the neighborhood ACE True Value. Used FORSCAN to erase all existing keys and program back the original key and 2 new keys. Engine started and the original key would still unlock doors, and new keys would also start engine, but new keys didn't lock/unlock doors with the buttons. You need to separately program the buttons using the original key. Get in car, press unlock button on driver door and then cycle original key 8 times off and on within 10 seconds, and finish with key in on position. Door locks will cycle and then press lock and unlock buttons on new keys. Door locks will start to operate to indicate programming complete. I now have 3 keys for about $45. Reprogramming the keys also got rid of the MyKey crap, ie., 80 mph speed limit, etc... So happy.

The dealership wanted to charge me over $300 for one key. Even the key cutting kiosks were still over $200. I ordered these keys and did a little research. I went to the closest ACE Hardware store from me and they cut the keys for less than $10.00. I was able to easily follow the steps and program the unlock/lock functions. However, I wasn't able t program the key to turn the car on as I had to have 2 original keys. Very important to note, for some cars, you will need two keys. I didn't. But guess what? ACE Hardware did it for $39.95 each key. All in all, I paid less than $100 for 2 keys. I'm a happy woman! Buy them, you won't be disappointed.

I still have both of my original F-150 keys, but wanted to go ahead and get a spare set before I lose one, as you need 2 keys to program a new one (in the vehicle, without a dealer or locksmith).I took these to the local hardware store to be cut to fit, where they advised me that they couldn't guarantee that they would work. But, as they only charged me $2.59 to cut the pair to match my original, I was certainly willing to take the chance. I took them home and they fit fine.Programming to the vehicle was easy, just as the included instructions say. However the instructions didn't address programming the door lock functions, which has to be done separately, but is easily found on YouTube.As I recall, you insert one of the original keys into the ignition switch, and without starting the vehicle, you cycle the key on and off rapidly nine times. On the last time, the door locks will cycle. You push the lock button on the new key, and the locks will cycle again (you hear all of this happening). The lock/unlock buttons on your new key are now programmed and functional. It's actually all pretty quick and easy.I use mine regularly, alternating between the original Ford key, and this replacement, and they continue to work perfectly.

They will work to start and run the truck but neither of them will work to unlock or lock the truck. Very disappointing. Now have to pay the dealer to delete them out of my trucks computer. Just got them in the mail 06/23/2025. Programs easy as long as you already have 2 keys

DOESN'T WORK ON 2011 FORD F450The keys themselves appear to be quality. I believe the problem is my 2011 Ford f450. You can easily program the door locks to work, you will not be able to get it to work in the ignition to start the truck. You cannot program these yourself, nor can it be completed on their website per their instructions so the keys we'll start your vehicle. They want me to purchase a programmer from them for an additional $70.Best I understand, on the 2011 Ford 250 and larger, you need to already have two working keys to complete the programming without purchasing additional equipment.This isn't the fault of the people who created this key, but it is a security thing that Ford has come up with.I've now spent hours and hours watching videos and researching online. This appears to be an issue with certain number of Ford trucks and their PATS security system.

Paid a locksmith $50 total to cut both keys and then programmed them myself in my 2007 F150 Lariat in about 5 minutes. I used ChatGPT to give me the programming process and it worked perfect. I will outline it here for other F150's users. You have to program each key to start the ignition, then do a separate process to program all remote clickers to work. You have to have all the clickers you own present (4 max) at the time you program the remotes as it otherwise deactivates any that are not present.You MUST have two prior working keys to program a new key, if you only have one you have to go to a locksmith/dealer to programming using their special computer. My locksmith charges $80 for cut & programming per key).Ignition programming1) Put existing key #1 in ignition and turn it to on for 3-5 seconds and then remove.2) Put existing key #2 in ignition and turn it to on for 3-5 seconds and then remove.3) Put newly cut Amazon key in ignition and turn to on and leave for 6-10 seconds while it programs. Then remove.4) Test new Amazon by attempting to start the engine, it should work immediately.Remote Clicker Programming1) Enter Programming Mode: With the doors unlocked, turn any working key from Off to On 8 times within 10 seconds. So back and forth fast, ending with the key in the On position. The door locks will cycle lock then unlock to signal the car is in programming mode.2) Press any button on your remote within 20 seconds of entering programming mode. The doors will cycle lock/unlock again to signify it's complete. Do this again for every remote you on, each within 20 seconds of the previous. If you leave any keys out they will stop functioning, you can't just program the new ones, you have to do all remotes at once.3) Remove the key. You can test all remotes now and confirm they all function.

Bought these. Had them manually cut at Big Box store. Took to dealer to have programmed and 1 worked the other did not. So 50% good 50% waste of money.
