Amdro Fire Ant Killer Bait Granules, 2 lbs (100099072)

A periodic problem with nesting fire ants under patio pavers was quickly resolved. Scattered about a teaspoon or less of fire ant bait near the site of emergence, then carefully brushed bait into the paver joints. I observed that in a few hours, most of the bait had disappeared, no doubt dragged into the subterranean nest. After three days of treatment, I waited a week and noted ZERO activity, even when I thumped the pavers with a rubber mallet. Nest kill and full control was successful.Follow directions, and you will achieve good results!

I've been using Amdro for years and it has always worked beautifully. I sprinkle it around the fire ant mound in the morning or early afternoon and the colony is gone within one or two days. And I appreciate that something that works so well is so quick and easy to use.

Here in Florida we have a pretty big problem with fire ants, so I was happy to educate myself and get rid of them the right way this time. This product is awesome, combined with a sprinkling of diatomaceous clay around the ant pile 1 day later. Both of my larger ant piles went away within a day or two of using both of the products. I’m a very happy camper because now I can sit on my patio in the backyard and not be bothered with constant attacks by fire ants!! 😁

Used as directed, this product killed most of the ant mounds but several times, the ants just moved to a new location. I would say, it had an 75% - 80% kill rate.

Does a fantastic job! I had five areas at my ranch. Took care of all of them within 3 days. It's been two weeks and grass is now growing where the big red ants were.

Literally starts killing red ants within a couple of minutes! I had 5 acres of these nasty ants and applies a sprinkling of this product on each one. The next day, the anthills were 100% dead!

Great stuff that kicks fire ant butt. Been using Amdro Fire Ant Killer for decades and it never disappoints. Somewhat pricey. But you definitely get what you pay for. 5/5.

Outstanding product, I’ve used it many times before, living in Florida and Georgia. I now live in North Carolina, and after 9 years, last year I started seeing fire ant mounds on my property. The Amdro product is great, but is not carried by merchants in NC, that I have been able to find. I tried the Ortho fire ant killer, and the mound just moves 8-15 feet away. Amdro takes out the whole mound, like a champ.
