Pretty good!
I love trying snacks and drinks from other countries and when I heard about Irn Bru I had to try it. The flavor is very similar to Goya Cola Champagne but with a kick of caffeine. I would definitely recommend trying this.

IT'S MADE OF GIRDERS
Are you a weak, feeble human being? Do you long for the strong caress of distilled Scottish strength? Do you want to try a soda that is the only soda in the world that outsells Coca-Cola in its country of production? DO YOU WANT TO BE MADE OF IRON?THEN BUY IRN-BRU.Made since the 900s by warrior monks in Orkney, this potent battle potion has been the mainstay of the Scottish people for over a millenia. It infuses them with the strength of at least ten bears, or one Glaswegian on his ear on Buckfast trying to fight his da. This tipple is what fueled the Scots Fusiliers through hundreds of battles, even though they didn't want to be there. It's been mixed with every scotch known to man, including the expensive ones, and no one can call it a waste of scotch. Also...IT'S MADE FROM GIRDERS.That's right, every bottle of Barr's Patent Irn Bru Strengthening Serum infuses your bones with iron, making you triple in weight and become immune to bone breakage and fall damage. It makes you grow twice the blood cells you need so you can share some with your friends. Go ahead, share some spare blood while on this stuff; don't even need to be matching blood types because the blood will be IB+ (Irn Bru+). That's the true universal donor. Great for nursing mothers who want their babies to be able to throw a caber or a car by two years old. Also great for single women for dropkicking bad dates into geosynchronous orbit. Great for balding men because it tastes great. Can't do much about the hair but you'll be able to bench-press a bus and that's better than hair! That's right, folks, this stuff is great for everything. Don't ask what the flavor is, no one knows. And remember...IT'S MADE FROM GIRDERS.

Unlike any other soda out there
The flavor profile is very unique. The initial swig produces a taste faintly similar to bubblegum, but when the aftertaste comes in it has a bit of a metallic, almost bitter kick to it. It's quite pleasant, and not something I've ever had before here in the US. It also has lower sugar than typical soft drinks, and produces a decent amount of caffeine without giving any jitters or stomach issues. And it's cheap!

Nice try
I got to taste the original drink in Scotland and it is so good-- I'm not sure how old this set of bottles are, but the flavor is a bit flat with little carbonation-- too bad, because this is really a good drink when it isn't old

I Like It!
Being a beverage freak, I had to give Scotland's favorite son a try. I made it a point to search for an Amazon vendor who was selling IRN-BRU sweetened with sugar ONLY, and lo and behold I found one.IRN-BRU's flavor is unique. Yes, there's that bubblegum thing going on (maybe due to the same esters that you find in Krumbacher N/A?) but more as well. Perhaps it's for the best that I can't identity the flavors but they all come together nicely. There's a somewhat disconcerting aftertaste that made me suspect artificial sweeteners but none are listed on the label, plus the sugar percentage is high; I'm going to chalk it up to the quinine. Nice level of fizz (best appreciated in a glass) and certainly quenching.I hope this Amazon vendor is able to procure some of the limited edition 1901; if so, I'll definitely order some. I doubt this will happen, though, because it's not only limited but bottled in glass which would make overseas shipping prohibitively expensive. In the meantime, I'm glad I was able to order this--say "NO!" to artificially sweetened soda and give this incarnation of IRN-BRU a try.

Worth the cost!
For a while I have wanted to try Scotland’s 2nd most popular beverage. Today I have. I am not disappointed. Irn Bru is good. I am glad to see they used real sugar and I very much enjoyed the flavor. I wish it came in glass bottles though as that does make a difference in the quality and freshness of any soda drink. Glass is better than cans, better than plastic. However it is what it is. And I am just pleased to be able to enjoy this drink loved by Scotland. I will be buying this to keep on hand here forward. Kudos to this company for making this available here in the States. The taste is unique and good. I love the bright orange color. However taste wise it is nothing like an orange soda. More like a vintage Red Cream (sort of?) you just have to try it. You won’t be disappointed. Irn Bru is good. It’s nice to keep a few bottles around. Just keep it out of the hands of the kids. They won’t appreciate it and there are cheaper alternatives to keep the crumb crunchers happy.
