A reassuring asset, clean and easy to use.
This device did not come to me fully charged, As you are not recommended to use it when it's at 50% or less, I had to top it up. Charging from my computer's USB slot, this device did take over an hour to get to 100%, then lost 1% immediately; so 99%.The good news is that I've had it for almost six weeks and it has retained its charge at 96%. Why 96%? well, I've used it to jump start two cars. And it definitely works. For one of the cars, even if I had wanted to jump start it with another car it would have been impossible to access due to where it was parked when the lights had been left on. This Starter Power Pack is small and, of course, can easily be carried. A doddle to use.The crocodile clips are solid, but the leads on them are quite short. To use, you plug the leads into the device, then attached the clips them to the battery terminals (or to the positive battery post and to the body somewhere---if the black lead won't reach). A green light comes on (on the piece that you plug in) and stays on if the job looks to be straight forward jump. Start the car, then disconnect the device. If the green light comes on but flickers you will need to click the "Boost" button (on the piece that you plug in); you then get 30 seconds to start the car. If the green light does not come on: first check your connections. If they are fine then the battery is probably a gonner, and cannot be jump started.Overall opinion: a reassuring bit of kit that definitely works. Worth the money. I will still carry my jump leads, though, and I will check this device regularly to verify its charge.

A fraction of the cost of a NOCO Boost, but does the job just as well.
I won't pretend that this is even anywhere near as close to the quality of a NOCO Boost (a mechanic friend has one), but at a fraction of the price (£40 vs £90-110) nobody should expect it to be.The bag the jump starter came in is surprisingly decent quality and the USB charging cable will get you by, it's a tool for occasional use after all, so I wouldn't expect it to be used more than a handful of times per year anyway.Onto the unit itself... The battery itself is surprisingly light and feels a little bit cheap (again, don't be surprised, it was £40!) but I don't doubt it'll last years of normal usage with the very occasional jump start after leaving lights on accidentally, or on those cold winter mornings. The jump leads and boost box that plugs into the unit feels exactly as you'd expect it to, the connector into the unit is firm and tight so wont come loose easily.I used it for the first time jumpstarting a 1995 Mitsubishi Pajero with a 3L Diesel Engine. These things have 2 starter batteries, so I wasn't sure whether or not the ASPERX unit would actually do it... Never the less, the advert says up to 5.5L diesel, so I wired everything up, gave it maybe 5 seconds.... The thing started from dead pretty much as soon as the starter engaged, which really surprised me given some heavier duty jump starters have struggled in the past, or at least needed a few minutes to slightly top up the engine batteries first.Overall, Surprisingly decent performance and a great price too. If you take care of it and top the battery up from time to time, there should be no reason why this neat little thing won't get you out of a sticky situation when you need it, even a few years down the line.

Works as expected
Bought this specifically for my 2.2 litre 350 2005 Ford Transit. It's been sat on the driveway for over 6 months. Late last year, I did try to start it up, but in the new year I didn't have change, so it never got turned over. When I tried, it wouldn't even do a full turn.Got this because the cables looked like they may attach to the front points under the bonnet (long enough cables). Which I can confirm they do mount to the positive and engine mount point ok on a Ford transit '05. Also because they say it will start larger engines.Though it tried to turn it over on the mount points in the engine, it didn't do enough to turn it over. But when I connected it to the battery under the drivers seat, it flashed (which means it can see that the battery is almost gone). I pressed the boast button and turned it over. Absolutely no problem starting the engine first time. Well impress with this device, it started the engine connected to the battery first time.Rest of the device:It has a light that can be set to just on, flash slow or flash SOS. It has a USB A and C attachment to charge your devices. It came as charged to 67% and took around 45 minutes or so, to charge from my sofa USB charge point to 100%.It came with a good case, spare USB for the charging and a easy to read manual. Can't recommend it enough.

Surprisingly powerful for a small size
This is one of the smallest starter battery packs you can buy and yet it has the capability of cold starting a defective car battery for a ford focus petrol engine. Not only can it deliver 300 Amps over a few seconds, it can act as a power bank to charge phones and tablets via USB. All in all a good product.

Best buy!
OMG amazing bit of kit. Everyone should have this in their vehicle. Used numerous times on my car in the freezing cold weather. Then started someone's work van! Works perfectly first time. Best buy!
