Received product in a very good and beautiful box. Took out USB cable which i use to connect my iphone for apple car play. Connected USB-C cable that came with the product. Connected the ottocast device on USB-c side of cable. Made sure bluetooth and wifi is ON on my iphone. Turned on the car and within 10-15 seconds, i can see car play screen on my car’s infotainment system. Played few songs and skipped to next song. I didn’t notice any delays. Made few calls and no issues observed. Turned off car, waited for 5 minutes, turned car back on and apple carplay got connected within few seconds. So no complaints on first use. Good part is seller is confident of their product and hence they offer 7 day return policy to allow customer to be fully satisfied with product. I will continue to test it for next 5 days to see if any issues are seen. So far it does the job perfectly. I will update this review after few days so it can help other buyers.Update after use for 3 days : no issues observed. No connectivity loss. It does take 20 to 40 seconds to connect automatically each time when you start your car and it is normal and not a deal breaker for me. I am very happy with this product.The reason I bought this : 1. I don’t want hassle of connecting phone with cable each time i get into the car. 2. I dont want to degrade my phone’s battery since it is being charged by USB while also being discharged by apple Maps/google maps and spotify. Now my phones remains in my pocket and my apple maps/google Maps, spotify and siri is ready to use flawlessly. I would highly recommend this product.Update after 10 months : product still working fine and i love it. Highly recommended.Update after 12 months : product is still working fine. It remains connected to my car all the time including hot summers of Delhi but it is still performing well. I have no complaints. I would like to thank company for such a great product.

It works well with 2020 Tata Harrier XZA+ and possible to completely hide it under the steering wheel so that it looks like the default system has wireless android auto.Only hassle is sometimes the connection is not successful and need to disconnect the phone Bluetooth. Bot sure if the issue is with my Samsung S23 or Harrier or Ottocast.I bought this since in long drives where I need maps connecting to wired android auto was causing battery of phone to charge slowly which will impact the phone over long term. Now I can charge the phone to fast charging and use the maps in wireless android auto.

I am writing thus review after nearly 4 months of usage.1. I had to return the first unit to Amazon as it was working intermittently.2. The replacement unit worked fine and I am happy to report it has been consistent in performance for over 4 months now.What I don't like is that the adapter connects to my phone as soon as I am near the car; I would have preferred a connection dialogue instead.I recommend this. A bit costly but worth it.

Useless product.

Day 1 It connected instantaneously in my Suzuki IGNIS without any delays. Day 2 it stopped connecting to the phone and that was the end of it … I restart the unit , the phone , the car ….. absolutely no way of restoring the connection. Sadly have to return. Three stars for the packaging and making me feel happy for the time it lasted. Maybe not compatible with Suzuki audio or the iPhone 14.

Have been using this for a week now. Had an initial glitch which was resolved by disconnecting the Bluetooth from the car and keeping it connected only to the device (fast resolution provided by the support team). After that it has been working as expected. Makes life a lot easy without the wires - the reason I bought this. The device is compact and it connects seamlessly to the phone once it is setup and paired.

Appearance : It's pocket sized although the design could have been better.Value for money : This is where these devices appear a little costly. Although we can use phone wirelessly, it does not get rid of wires completely , hence the price is tad bit high.Quality : Same quality as the phone and works without any niggles or lag.Performance : This is where the device is the best. Have been using for more than a week and connects seamlessly within say 15 secs. No lags seen on android auto. All hands free functions work as before. Only downside is consumption of phone charge since both bluetooth and wifi are connected, but one can always charge the phone separately.

Getting it to work for the first time took some effort. It would not connext. Few attempts and then it's fine.Occasionally does not connect on ignition. Need to power up the unit again.Occasional audio drops are seen.There is definitely a lag in commands passed to the apps , especially music apps ex: Amazon and wynkMaps etc seems to work okay.In general it is working satisfactorily and serves the purpose of not plugging in the phone to use Android auto.
