Bought this in July 2024 due to a large keloid scar on my daughters knee that was getting progressively worse. Was growing outwards and catching on clothes etc. As her scar was old, was from a fall in 2016 we didn't really expect it to do much but if nothing else would protect the scar from bumps that were making it grow more. After continued and consistent daily use, the scar is COMPLETELY gone. No bump, no nobbly lump, no scar at all, perfectly healed knee as if there was never anything there. Amazing product.

This tape was recommneded to me by my nurse and has been amazing during my recovery. Helps with scar sensitivity and discomfort from clothing. Soft and washable, easy to apply, remove and you can shower with it on.

First of all.... Wow! I've had a few silicone plasters, but this has been the stickiest so far! It's so adhesive that you actually struggle to peel it off the plastic wrapper!If you're looking for a plaster that will stay on for hours if not days, then you've found the one. It's thinner, more mailable and stickier than all the others I've had. You barely remember it's there it's so weightless and non-irritable.Bad things.... Well, it's so sticky that, as I said, you will struggle to take it off the plastic, and even take it off your skin. The adhesive is strong but delicate, so you can end up peeling it off the plastic and accidently pulling some adhesive off with your finger, leaving a non-sticky corner. Because of the difficulty peeling, you also can't cut it into complicated shapes (I put slits in mine so I can fold them around curved surfaces like fingers, I can't do that with this plaster) but the plaster itself is so sticky and thin that it sticks to curves perfectly anyway.All in all, amazingly good plaster, and would be 10/10 if application wasn't such a hassle.

Not great adhesive wise - it doesn't seem to stick at all and I find it everywhere in my bed!

This is an excellent product. I had breast surgery recently. I keep mine for a week at a time. It’s supporting the wound and helping to reduce the scar. Super adhesive but at the same time can be removed, cleaned and reapplied. I wear mine under clothes and it’s very secure. I also put it on an old scar and it is helping soften the appearance of that scar which is years old too.

I have a raised scar just below the bridge of my nose which will always be there. I used to use a more popular brand, but their tape got thicker on my third purchase. It may be beneficial to scar healing, but I'm scar-hiding, lol.This stuff is perfect and probably has the same adhesive qualities as my previous brand. I use really good scissors which I can sharpen, which makes a big difference (I tell myself!)Looking forward to wearing contact lenses every other day (when my script comes through), because glasses and and where my scar is located seriously isn't working for me.

After many surgeries I suffer from keloid scaring. I bought this product as a cheaper alternative to a more expensive brand I usually buy, but it was a totally waste of time and money! After a few minutes it started to stretch and after a couple of hours it started splitting, until it broke in 3 separate places! The adhesives was rubbish too! I thought I’d give it a second chance put it on before bed and it had all rolled up by the morning! I have just had a knee replacement so definitely not move around much when awake or in my sleep lol! I also note that it has irritated my skin, made it red and itchy and VERY dry which is in contrast to why I bought it! Obviously this could be personal to my skin, but I’ve worn silicone scar healing products on and off for 30years plus and never had a problem before! Note to self-YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, there is a reason it’s so much cheaper! 😩🤦🏻‍♀️

This is the second type of Mepitac tape I've tried (the other one was Mölnycke) - and I like this one far better.The sticky part is good - I take it off before showering, and am able to put the same strips back on afterwards, so each strip is good for around 2-3 days of use (personal preference - maybe you'll get even more out of it).It's a good level of thickness and doesn't peel away throughout the day/night. The tape is rather wide, and seeing as it's only got to cover the incisions, I cut each strip in half lengthways, therefore getting twice as much out of it. I've had this roll for a couple of weeks now and feel like the roll has barely gotten smaller (compared to the brand I used before). So it's cost effective.As for results, obviously that's going to take a few months to see because scar care is a long game, but silicone is proven to help with tissue developing right. What I can say is that my 3 month old scars haven't really gotten wider since beginning tape use (which is something that commonly happens when skin moves and stretches as surgical scars mature).So overall, I'm very happy with this and I could recommend this to anyone. The only downside is that this is available in 1 colour, and I'm a white person so it works for my skin tone, but would still stand out quite a bit on dark skin. Having some darker shades would probably be appreciated.
