Great Quality for the money
Used these to replace on my portable shop spring loaded lights and better springs than the ones that came with the original lights!!

Not for spring-loaded desk lamps -- too strong
Another reviewer said he used these for a spring loaded desk lamp that was sagging. Baloney. They are WAY too strong for a desk lamp. You won't be able to stretch the 6" length much beyond 7" without tools and even then, it wouldn't work for a desk lamp. I solved the drooping lamp problem by installing a smaller/lighter bulb...

Great expansion spring
Very happy with the performance of these springs. They provide the "give" I need in the line to allow for flexing without breaking. Easy to use with the "ring" ends.
