I bought this to replace my old electric knife but before the holidays come up, I tested this on a whole chicken, brisket, tritip, beef round and even pork loin. I didn't attempt this on fish, just because of how fragile that can be. However, the meat I did test this electric knife on, not only did it cut through but it sliced through all of the meat I mentioned above and it cut through all of it like nothing. Even though none of it was tough meat, this knife cut through all of it as if I was using a butter knife on room temperature butter. The knife itself is really comfortable to hold and with just a press of a button, I turn it off and on. There is another button that I can press that releases the blade which makes this easier to clean. I haven't tried this on fresh baked bread but will be doing that this coming weekend. If there are any problems with that, I will definitely come back and update this review, but so far, no issues.

Nice electric knife and a nice price

I bought this knife to help cut crusty sourdough bread - loved the idea of cordless. The handle is too big to grip properly with my small-ish hands, so it feels like I can't get a good grip - especially while still being in contact with the sensors. I asked my husband to do it and the sensors wouldn't recognize his hands at all - he'd hand it to me and it would turn right now, I'd hand it back and it wouldn't turn on for him. It isn't particularly powerful (even at full charge), so I felt like I really had to push into it and with the grip issues above, actually put my other hand in danger. You cannot use it while it is charging and it doesn't seem to hold a charge in storage - so I had to plan to take it out to charge it hours in advance of needing to use it.Ultimately, I thought it was an okay-ish, not-great, product. But -- after MAYBE five or six uses, it will no longer take a charge.

Finally, I found a cordless electric knife that I can comfortably hold in my arthritic hands and doesn’t require pressing the trigger continuously to operate nor cost nor cost a fortune! Love it!Revised review:Unfortunately, the knife doesn’t hold a charge for 5 minutes of slicing!! Even after the 2nd overnight charge it still didn’t last long at all.

I really like the advantage of being cordless. In the past, I have always had to deal with making sure the cord was not in the way, it would get tangled and seemed to restrict me from getting the correct angle when carving meat (specifically, turkey). This is not an issue any longer and works great and would highly recommend. The only drawback is it seems the plastic knobs on the knives. Appears to be cheaply made, so I have a little reservation about how long it will be before they crack and break. These are not required to operate the knife but should be in place/attached for safety. I would avoid placing these in the dish washer to help ensure the longevity.
