Lovely, but leaves a white cast.
I'm a huge fan of this brand, and was super excited to order this lip balm. It feels great, but leaves a little bit of a white cast. While I love knowing my lips are protected safely, I probably won't order again.

SUNBURNED LIPS NO LONGER AN ISSUE
A Dr actually recommended this to me when she saw I had blisters from sunburned lips (very sensitive lips) it isn't cheap but it is SO WORTH IT. Haven't had chapped or sunburned lips since I started using this. I buy 3 new ones at the beginning of summer. Also works great in Wisconsin winter weather.

Sunscreen protection works
The media could not be loaded. My lips get burned so bad in the summer. I needed a lip balm that was higher in SPF. I got this product after it was recommended from my derm. The SPF truly does work and it kept my lips from getting burned. It definitely is a weird consistency and is not easy to apply all the time. I would recommend a small dab on your finger and putting it on your lips. There isn’t a gross taste to this like normal SPF sunscreen chapsticks or balms. I would say if your lips get burned easily, I would recommend this but just know it’s not a balm you can just take out and apply. It has a little consistency to it which needs to be rubbed in.

Great lip sun screen
I’ve only had a short while. I wanted it to take on a trip to the Caribbean in October. My lips get so sunburned there. We have a pool and I’m in the sun a lot. So far so good!! I’ll post an update after my trip. It does have a really light hue to it, but not bad. Makes my lips feel good and hydrated. So far so good.

Disappointed then mad
A series of bad first impressions: When I first used this a big bubble of air expelled out of the tube and then it looked like it was half empty, then the product looked fairly paste-y and dry coming out, there was a bit of a white cast as I put it on (although it did sort of absorb in), and it did not feel hydrating at all to me, in fact I felt like it dried down to a chalky film that I could sense on my lips. I expected unscented/unflavored but it does show "flavor" in the ingredients list and was pepperminty and so it seemed a bit like toothpaste, which I didn't appreciate.I don't plan to buy this again. I appreciate the high spf number (for a lip product) and the clear instructions of reapply every 2 hours and 80 minutes time for water resistance, but I wanted something that I would enjoy using everyday and this falls short.Elta MD has a "60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee" for any reason, and Amazon is one of their authorized online retailers so you would think I should be able to get a refund from Elta; but no, if you find their full refund policy it is 17 bullet-points long! I have to request a refund from Amazon and apparently according to Amazon's policy this is not eligible for return/refund. Amazon was kind enough to grant me a full refund, but I am really not pleased with Elta MD, I feel like it was a huge bait and switch.I would suggest not buying this brand unless you're buying from an authorized local retailer that will honor the "guarantee".
