The soles are not at all shock absorber. I got a nice jolt to the knee when alighting from the train.The steel toe is not properly fit on the right shoe. My little toe kept stubbing into the rim of the steel toe from the outside ( that's right, it's smaller than the body of the shoe..)The laces are very flimsy and lopsided i.e. The left side laces were larger than the right by 45mmThey were not gripping the foot even though I pulled them taut before tying the laces.The gusseted tongue is good but the water will still enter from top as the mouth is loose and no amount of tightening the flimsy laces helps.Returning it to seller
