High Price, High Quality Music Player - No Replacement Batteries Available!
I write this review as the until recently happy owner of an Astell & Kern SR25 Norma player - purchased on Amazon in December 2021 for $500.00. It is - or was -an excellent music player. The quality of sound and functionality are way better than any of the iPod's I had previously owned.HOWEVER, that was before the internal rechargeable battery - similar to the one on the SR15and SR35 players - bubbled up and had to be replaced.NO AUTHORIZED DEALER OF ASTELL & KERN SELLS THE REPLACEMENT BATTERY NEEDED FOR ASTELL & KERN PLAYERS.So I am left with essentially a completely unusable $500 music player - all for want of a $30 battery that no dealer or stockist- not Amazon or any other online retailer - sells.Sadly, I have to say : Buyer Beware! You can spend a lot of money on an Astell & Kern player and end up with a player that does not work for want of a simple battery.
