Works fine on my 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 4.8L 4x4
Brake shoes fit just fine. Were identical to the old ones. The pin on the parking brake shoe fit into the top hole on the new brake shoes on both sides just fine also. I didn't have to drill the hole out like I have seen on other reviews. I recommend ordering a spring kit if you haven' changed the drum brakes out in over 5 years or more. I did, but I reused the springs with the lock cap built into them because the new ones have separate locking caps and were a pain to do by myself (needed three hands). As far as how long they last, I cannot comment on that at this time. Don't forget to check the adjusters to make sure they are not stuck and don't forget to use white grease, so you won't have any squealing. I gave it three stars, not because of the part, but just because it is never fun messing with brake drums.

These are just like the originals on my 2011 Silverado
They appear to be just like the original brake shoes only with a protective coating on the metal (not the pads) and it fit well but I actually won't know how good the pads are for another 100,000 miles or sooner. I did have one issue with the adjuster (gear wheal end) needing a little force to make it move all the way into the slot on the brake shoe. This could have been because of the brake hardware I bought. Either way it didn't take much force to make it slide all the way back into the inner part of the brake shoe. However until I found it was the problem I could not fit the new drum over the brake shoes.

Not the OE quality parts expected of AC Delco
This application is a 2012 Silverado 1500 with JL3 code heavy duty brakes, I use this truck to tow a car trailer, race car and equipment across country. The shoes received were not packaged in an AC Delco Gold box as advertised. The shoes have about 20% less friction material than original equipment. The OE lining width is 3.30 in wide, the AC Delco lining is only 2.75 wide. See picture.ACD does note the lining size may be changed due to OE spec changes, I seriously doubt this is true and what has really happened is a consolidation to the smaller friction that is found on the lower capacity rated brake system.I reviewed the defective AC Delco drums purchased with these shoes that caused a severe axle shudder. Since I had to replace the drums, I was able to source shoes with the correct size friction from NAPA and restore the brake system to the proper JL3 spec. braking capacity.
